Description

The Arturo Fuente Hemingway is a special cigar for the legendary Fuente family, one with roots that trace back to the brand’s beginnings at the turn of the 20th century. The blend came about in the early ‘80s, in a time when perfecto-shaped cigars had all but gone out of favor for smokers.

Carlos Fuente Jr. had the idea to re-embrace this classic, Cuban style; one he fondly remembered his grandfather (Arturo) rolling during his childhood. At his request, Carlos Fuente, Sr. tracked down the near-extinct perfecto molds needed to craft the intricate shape. Fuente Sr. began toying around with a Dominican-based blend to suit the forgotten vitola—this was eventually realized in the form of the now-legendary Hemingway cigar.

The Hemingway was first released in 1983 in the only size the Fuente’s had to work with—a 6” x 47 perfecto known as “Signature”. In years following, the Fuente’s went on to expand the line, which now includes 8 intricately-crafted sizes. Using a secret blend of Dominican tobaccos, topped with a golden-brown Cameroon wrapper, the Hemingway offers a classic, distinctly “Fuente” smoking experience—among the more special offerings from the revered Fuente family.
